About Us
The Walk In Clinic for Animals is a veterinary clinic that provides
urgent care after-hours for pets of all ages and breeds.
We offer a wide range of services, including:
- Check Ups
- Vaccinations
- Diagnostics (including blood tests, xray and ultrasound)
- Treatment for minor illnesses and injuries including:
- Itchy skin
- Vomiting and diarrhoea
- Ear Infections
- Minor wound repair
- Infections
- Eye discharge
- UTIs
- And more!
We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care in a friendly and compassionate environment. Our team of experienced veterinarians and nurses are dedicated to providing your pet with the best possible care. No need to make an appointment, we are available every night from 7pm offering after-hours, urgent veterinary care in the Canberra, ACT region.
We work closely with day-time general practice veterinary clinics, and will send your history back to your regular veterinarian at the end of the night to ensure continuity of care. We also work closely with Canberra’s emergency and referral hospitals and will refer your pet onwards if we think they need critical care overnight.

Veterinary Director
Dr Bronwyn Orr
Dr Bronwyn is passionate about improving the health and welfare of animals, and has more than a decade of experience as a veterinarian. As well as her clinical work, she also actively advocates on behalf of the wider veterinary profession in the media.
Current roles:
Director of the Walk In Clinic for Animals;
Casual Academic at The University of Sydney and Southern Cross University; and
Senior Manager of Government Relations at the Australian Veterinary Association

BVSc, MSc (IAWEL), MANZCVS (Animal Welfare), PhD, GAICD

Our History
The Walk In Clinic for Animals was founded in 2022 by two veterinarians, Dr Bronwyn Orr and Dr Ashlee Flesser. Both veterinarians previously worked in emergency hospitals and became passionate about providing patients with the best possible care, when they need it.
Noticing a gap in animal care between day-time general practice veterinary clinics and emergency referral clinics, our founders started the Walk In Clinic for Animals to bridge this gap in animal care – providing pet lovers peace of mind at times when your normal veterinary clinic may not be open or available.
