General Check Ups for Pets

at Walk In Clinic for Animals
Here at the Walk In Clinic For Animals, we are happy to help with any non-life-threatening issues. General check-ups for pets come in handy when you’ve just acquired a new pet, for example after bringing them home from the breeder or rescue shelter. Our vets can give your pet a thorough physical exam, identify any potential issues or concerns and have an in-depth conversation with you about topics like diet, flea and worm prevention, exercise, veterinary care and training.

If it’s been a while since you last took your pet to the vet, it might be worth bringing them down for a general check-up also. We can check your pet for any major diseases and have comprehensive blood testing and imaging available if required. Often dogs and cats over 8 years of age require closer monitoring, and a general check-up as well as routine comprehensive blood tests can help ensure any health changes are picked up early. As dogs and cats are considered geriatric over 8 years of age, it’s important we keep a close eye on their health.

Walk In Clinic For Animals - General Check Ups

Sometimes our pets do strange things, such as occasionally limp, barking more than usual, coughing after exercise or peeing outside the litter box. In these cases, it’s a good idea to bring your pet in for a general check-up to ensure there are no serious underlying problems causing these symptoms. We can do those checks here and if we detect anything, we can start treatment immediately or refer you back to your regular veterinarian.

Our philosophy is nothing is too small to get checked out. You know your pet best, and if you’re worried, then that’s a good enough reason to get them checked, even if it’s just for peace of mind so you can sleep through the night. We are open every night between 7pm-10:30pm for your convenience.
